When you search for a term, Wordology now uncovers a network of related words, words with similar structures, and even words that use your search term in their definition. Each result is packed with rich data, allowing you to instantly compare options and choose the perfect word to deepen understanding for your students.

Unpack Words with Morphemic Precision

Unlocking a word's structure is a key moment for a learner. Our new word presentation view brings morphology to the forefront. Morphemic values are now displayed prominently alongside syllables, using distinct shapes to clearly identify prefixes, stems and suffixes. In line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)2.1 and the British Dyslexia Association, this design uses highlighting, spacing, and shapes and not just colour to convey information, ensuring every student can clearly deconstruct and understand a word's structure.

Every lesson has its own rhythm, and you know best how to pace your instruction. That’s why we’ve introduced new presentation options to give you greater control. You can choose to have each element reveal itself automatically at a steady pace. Alternatively, you can take direct control, advancing through each part of the word simply by tapping the space bar. This offers a flexible, hands-free method of delivery, allowing you to focus less on the screen and more on your students.

Explore Word Networks with the New Discovery Tool

Go beyond individual words and explore entire subject-specific vocabularies. Our brand-new Discovery Tool allows you to select a subject and see a map of related terms.

For some words, you'll now find richer data than ever before, including syllable counts, vocabulary tiers, and word class information.

This is a foundational new feature, and we are actively working to expand this rich data across our entire dictionary. You can expect to see this powerful tool grow and evolve as we continue our commitment to its development.

Supercharge Your Word Lists with New Collaborative Tools

We've reimagined word lists to support the collaborative way schools and departments work. They have been transformed into dynamic tools for planning, collaboration, and analysis. You can now:

• Organise and Customise: Add descriptions to your lists, expand them to 25 words, and organise them into folders.
• Share and Collaborate: Make lists private or public. Share public lists with anyone, even colleagues without a Wordology subscription, for a specified time. You can also request access to a colleague’s list for true collaboration or allow colleagues to subscribe to your lists for automatic updates.
• Stay Informed: Choose to have definitions in your lists update automatically as our dictionary evolves, and track all definition changes. Plus, new analytics provide a complete overview of all list creation and usage within your workspace.
